Our History
Start of Walker Marine (2015)
Robert Walker started Walker Marine in December of 2015 as he realized that boating was becoming more than just a passion. He was ready to start buying and selling boats.
Rinker Boats (2016)
Robert got the opportunity to meet Kim Slocum (then president of Rinker Boats) and the two hit it off. By December 2016, Walker Marine brought home its first Rinker boat and became an authorized dealer.
Enter Mercury Marine (2017)
The Walker Marine Sales team added its very first certified Mercury Marine technician on-site. This expansion allowed Walker Marine to get set up with Mercury Marine as an authorized dealer.
Enter Godfrey & Hurricane (2018)
Robert Walker adds Godfrey Pontoons and Hurricane Center Consoles to the inventory and expands its reach as a multi-brand marine dealer in Southwestern Ontario.
Walker Marine is Growing (2019)
Walker Marine officially surpasses the mark of selling 100 new and used boats combined.
Enter Jeanneau & Yamaha (2020)
Walker Marine now houses over 25 boats on site and has expanded to offer Jeanneau Powerboats and Yamaha Outboards.
Facility Expansion & Garmin (2023)
Walker Marine continues to achieve new milestones. Walker Marine welcomes Garmin and expands their facilities to store larger boats and marine inventory.

Founder
Robert loves being on the water and has 15 years of active experience with different marine vessels. From his career in farming, he learned all too much about the downside of sales. He built Walker Marine on the foundation of educating customers about boats and letting them decide if it’s right.
alicia Walker
Office Assistant
Alicia is a graduate of the Nursing Program and has a passion for helping others. She works at a hospital in Chatham, Ontario. Her interest in boating started years ago and she will spend as much time as she can in the sun or on the water. When she’s not boating she is at home with her two dogs.
Brian St Pierre
General Manager
Brian has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry and has a passion for customer service. His focus is on the continued growth and high level of customer service Walker Marine is committed to providing. Brian likes spending his weekends playing the guitar on a summer festival stage or spending time with family and friends. Come by and say hi!
jon debruyn
Sales
Jon uses his experience from running a family farm, seed business and trucking operation in the marine industry. He has spent many hours on the water and is very experienced with sales. He always has time to talk about boats and his friendly personality makes him easy to talk to!
Tim Gale
Marine Technician
Tim has 16 years of experience in the marine industry and 20 years of experience in the automotive repair industry. He has a passion for fixing things that tick and is dedicated to making customers satisfied. When Tim is not working he enjoys being on the water or riding his Harley.
Brodie Russell
Marine Technician
Brodie has taken a genuine interest in the marine industry after growing up on a local farm where he is still actively involved at. The skills he’s learned while on the farm, operating and maintaining large equipment, have been valuable to the dealership. He recently graduated from Ridgetown College and is now working full-time at the dealership. He is currently pursuing training to further develop his career. We are proud to have a young man with such skills and interests. A good pizza goes a long way to keep him happy.
Abbey Gorlick
Administration
Abbey has been a member of the Walker Marine team since 2018. Her friendly personality and dedication to being a hard worker allows the Walker Marine office to run smoothly. She is currently enrolled at Brock University.
Cheryl Walker
Administration
Cheryl has a degree in Business Accounting which helps the office run smoothly. With her hard work and friendly personality, she is a great asset to the team. She is a mother of two and enjoys spending her time at home with them.

Scout
Skipper
Scout travelled all the way from Cozumel Island, Mexico to work with Walker Marine. He’s as smart as bait and a landlubber but his goofy, happy and friendly personality lightens up the office and shop.
